Memories about Christmas

When we think about Christmas, we often imagine the nativity scene—the baby Jesus lying in a manger, Mary and Joseph watching over Him, the shepherds who came to visit, and the bright star that led the wise men to bring their gifts. But why is the birth of Jesus so important? The answer is simple: Jesus came into the world to bring hope, peace, and, most importantly, love.

Kenneth Lubwama the director of Godly Hands International shared with children on how Jesus loves them and let them   know that Jesus loves them more than you can ever imagine. The Bible tells us in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This means that Jesus was sent to the world as a special gift from God because of His deep and endless love for us.

Jesus showed His love in many ways—He healed the sick, helped the poor, and welcomed children with open arms. In Mark 10:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” These words remind us that Jesus treasures every child and wants each of you to feel His love in your hearts.

At Christmas, we give and receive gifts, and while those gifts bring happiness, the greatest gift of all is the love of Jesus. His love is a gift that never fades, never breaks, and never runs out. It is always with us, guiding and comforting us in our daily lives. This Christmas, let us remember that Jesus’ love is the reason we celebrate. We can share His love by being kind to our friends, helping those in need, and praying with thankful hearts.

As you open your presents and enjoy the holiday season, take a moment to say, “Thank you, Jesus, for your love!” Because His love is the most wonderful gift we could ever receive. May you always remember that Jesus loves you, today and forever.

Merry Christmas, and may the love of Jesus fill your hearts with joy!
